Good Afternoon (morning) friends and family (all others). I wanted to update you all on the progress of the internship thus far. Up till now the intership has consisted of four to six, sometimes eight hours of prayer room time a day. Prayer room time has been a greater feat in some ways then I thought it would be. I have realized that I was to learn how to pray, and that I want my prayers to actually be answered - this means persistance is not enough. This means faith, knowing the Will of God are actually the most important parts of prayer. It has been an interesting journey to be on; figuring out what a prayer life should really look like. The fact that the prayer room is really a free-for-all makes it challening to, because you can really do whatever wish, whether it be pray, read, worship etc. I have found the most valuable practice to be actually increasing in the knowledge of God, which has consisted of reading His Word (Bible) as well as other very biblically based books about Him (God/Jesus). I have thoroughly enjoyed the reading times that I have had and I look forward to all the reading I will be able to accomplish over the next month and a half. That mostly sums up the prayer room time.
The internship teaching has been a positive/negative scenario for me. The majority of the classes that I have been a part of are not very indepth. I have heard most of the content because of the community involvement that I have had with Sanctuary House of Prayer in Winnipeg. Most of the content seems to be based on ideas/concepts/deductive study rather then specifically the study of the Word. I will say that I have heard repeatedly from the teaching staff that "if it is not in the Word do not believe it, the Word trumps everything else". I say that so you know that the teachers themselves generally present whether it is just an idea of their own or a principle of the Word of God. The main focus in the classes has been the emotions/intimacy of/with God. The topics include: PHD (Prophetic Healing & Deliverance Class), Intimacy, Song of Solomon, Life of David, Book of Daniel. The schedule of these classes is spread out which is another I find it hard to connect, or they are just a three day stint. Life of David & Book of Daniel have been my favourite classes, and Connection Time with Stewart Greeves has been by far the most informative (Question & Answer).
The main highlight for me has been reading books & building relationships. I have had the chance to read six or seven books already which has been great. Including some of which would be: The Cross of Christ, Pure Heart, Rewards of Fasting, Attributes of God, Humility, Culture of The Kingdom, about half of Leadership is it male (What does the Bible Say?), Why Revival Tarries, Sacred Marriage, Rejection & Praise of Man and I have started; C H Spurgeon on Leadership and The Christian in Complete Armour. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have and will get to read it has been so growing for me. I have also really enjoyed building relationships be it with the three other roomates I have or the guys in the next apartment or the ones that I end up eating with each day. It has been great to learn from them and also speak into their lives. It has been great to get perspective and try to put into practice (obey) prefering others before yourself. There are a lot of opportunities to grow which is a excellent window into the next season, I will have many tools to use when I get back home to invest the relationships that I had before I left, I look forward to it - as well as inserting a reading day or weekend into my schedule.
Blessings.

Orientation Week
Good Evening (11:00 am) friends, family, supporters. I thought I would send out a bit of an update on my first week in the internship. The internship started this last wednesday, on that day I woke up at 9:00 am and went all the way through till 3:00 pm the next day (needless to say that night I only got 1.5 hours of sleep that night, as well as the day after). The switch to the 11 pm - 3pm schedule has been an adventure, but it has been lots of fun and really rewarding this far. I only got a total of 6 hours of sleep for the entirety of the first 3 days, that is intense. The last 2 nights have been awesome, even though it seems that I am not sleeping deeply I still have more than enough energy for all the things I need to do.
We just started classes yesterday. We are doing; The Life of David (Clay Edwards), The Book of Daniel (Dale Anderson), Song of Solomon (Alisha Powell). We will have others come up but that is what we have entered into this far. I do class first thing, 4 hours of prayer room, another class, ending the day with group events etc. This is what this week will like at least, it may change quite quickly since it is not a very long internship but that is my typical day.
I have really been able to connect with a lot of people. Relationships & teaching are by far the highlight this far. I have been able to receive teaching, direction, correction and also give direction, correction, support etc. It is great to have a leadership team to submit to as well as people to reach out to. I love having a schedule that I actually have to abide by. The structure has been super helpful to me, I hope that I am able to learn a few tools to apply it to my daily life when I return.
I didn't realize how much I loved home, friends, and family. I really love/enjoy Canada! I can't wait to return, but in the meantime I will focus on the task at hand, and take in all I can; growing in the knowledge of God. I am coming back Canada with more then I had before (Please Pray).
Lastly if you have anything encourage to share please email me at shaun.reimer@gmail.com.
Thank you to all those who gave to make this trip possible. If you are still wanting to give please email me or give funds to Kristi, Shane, Stephanie or Helen (family). Your funds will always be accepted. It would help with my transition at the very least or help pay for the person beside me to continue their internship and or do another. Thanks.
